Every year, PETRONAS offers academic sponsorships to deserving students for studies in secondary schools and institutions of higher learning.
More than 19,000 students have benefited from PETRONAS' tertiary education sponsorship programmes at the Foundation, Undergraduate and Postgraduate levels, while more than 11,000 secondary school students have received sponsorships.
Sponsorships are awarded to students who have obtained excellent results in the Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) examinations for undergraduate studies at established universities, both in Malaysia and overseas. Students can choose to pursue technical and non-technical courses that are relevant to the industry.
Scholarships are also offered to Malaysian secondary school students.
Foreign University Sponsorship (Including Branch Campuses in Malaysia)
Sponsorships are available for Malaysian students to pursue degree courses in engineering and Information Technology at Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS (UTP). Sponsorship will be granted based on merit that includes excellent SPM results.
Students are required to complete a 12-month Foundation Programme at UTP before advancing to undergraduate studies.
Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS Sponsorship
Sponsorships are available for Malaysian students to pursue degree courses in engineering and Information Technology at Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS (UTP). Sponsorship will be granted based on merit that includes excellent SPM results.
Students are required to complete a 12-month Foundation Programme at UTP before advancing to undergraduate studies.
Malaysian University Sponsorship
Students who are studying in Malaysian public universities may also apply for sponsorship if they are pursuing undergraduate courses in Engineering, Applied Science, Accountancy, Economics and Information Technology.
Eligibility for sponsorship is based on merit that includes excellent Sijil Tinggi Persekolahan Malaysia (STPM) / Matriculation / Diploma results.
