PETRONAS Scholarships for SPM Result Holders (Program Biasiswa Pendidikan PETRONAS untuk lepasan SPM)
PETRONAS is once again offering education scholarships at the university level to SPM 2011 result holders at selected fields related to the oil and gas industry.
Applications are welcome from candidates with excellent academic background on top of strong leadership skills proven through involvement in co-curriculum activities and volunteer activities.
PETRONAS Scholarships for SPM Result Holders (Program Biasiswa Pendidikan PETRONAS untuk lepasan SPM) are open for bachelor's degree programmes at Univeriti Teknologi Petronas (UTP) or foreign universities.
Programmes at Univeriti Teknologi Petronas (UTP)
Selected candidates are required to pass the one-year Foundation Programme (Program Pengajian Asas) at UTP before continuing studies at the bachelor's degree level.
Programmes at Foreign Universities
Shortlisted candidates are required to attend and pass the 12 to 24 months Foundation Programme at the programme preparation colleges in Malaysia before continuing studies at the bachelor's degree level.
Application Criteria
- Candidates must apply using SPM 2011 results.
- Nationality must be Malaysian.
- Candidates must be between 17 - 19 years old in year 2012.
- Candidates posses leadership characteristics and active in co-curriculum activities.

Pemohon hendaklah menggunakan keputusan SPM 2011 dengan memperolehi sekurang-kurangnya A- dalam 9 matapelajaran seperti berikut:-
a) Sekurang-kurangnya gred A- dalam 6 matapelajaran berikut :-
Dan
b) Sekurang-kurangnya gred A- dalam 3 matapelajaran lain (tidak termasuk matapelajaran bahasa).

Pemohon hendaklah menggunakan keputusan SPM 2011 dengan memperolehi sekurang-kurangnya A- dalam 9 matapelajaran seperti berikut:-
a) Sekurang-kurangnya gred A- dalam 3 matapelajaran berikut :-

b) Sekurang-kurangnya gred A- dalam 3 matapelajaran berikut:-
Dan
C) Sekurang-kurangnya gred A- dalam 3 matapelajaran lain (tidak termasuk matapelajaran bahasa).
*Nota: 3 matapelajaran tersebut boleh dipilih daripada senarai (b) di atas atau lain-lain matapelajaran yang tidak tersenarai di atas.

- For Biasiswa Pendidikan PETRONAS ke Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS (UTP), candidates need to fill two forms:
- UTP application at UTP website
- Program Biasiswa Pendidikan PETRONAS ke UTP at PETRONAS website
- For Biasiswa Pendidikan PETRONAS ke Universiti Luar Negara, candidates need to fill the application form at PETRONAS website
- Parents are advised to apply on behaft of their children for those who are undergoing Malaysian National Service (NS, kursus Program Latihan Khidmat Negara, PLKN) or at oversea
Additional Details
- Shortlisted candidates will need to attend the assessment camp "PETRONAS EduQuest Camp" pada in April 2012.
- Results of scholarship offer will be announced in May 2012.
