Closing Date 29 February 2016 Merdeka Award Grant for International Attachment The Merdeka Award Grant for International Attachment was announced in conjunction with the 2011 Merdeka Award Presentation Ceremony by Prime Minister YAB Dato' Sri Mohd Najib Tun Abdul Razak. It is designed to make it possible for qualified and deserving Malaysians, between the ages 22-35 to engage in short-term collaborative projects/programmes of up to three months, at an internationally-recognised host institution in select disciplines (education, arts, sports, community/social work, environment, health, science and technology). The attachment aims to help the recipient build on his or her expertise by undergoing a learning experience in an institution or organisation of international repute, and improving the Grantee's body of work and achievements. MNRB Holdings Berhad Scholarship Fund 2016

Closing Date 5 January 2016 MNRB Scholarship Fund The MNRB Scholarship Fund was established by MNRB Holdings Berhad in 1 April 1998 with an objective to assist in the development of the nation’s insurance and takaful industries by enabling promising students to have access to quality education in order to produce quality insurance and takaful professionals for the long term development of the Malaysian insurance and takaful industries. Since then the Fund has awarded more than 430 bright Malaysians from all races to pursue full-time studies in Actuarial Science, Risk Management and Insurance at local universities. Closing Date 28 December 2015 Kuok Foundation Berhad Diploma Awards for Malaysian Public Polytechnics 2016 KUOK FOUNDATION BERHAD  invites applications from students at Malaysian Public Polytechnics for the above awards. Study Grant Amount Study grants of RM6,000 per annum each will be offered to successful candidates. Requirements  1) Applicants must be Malaysian Citizens. 2) Applicants must have - at least 3 SPM credits in any of the following subjects : Bahasa Malaysia, English, Mathematics, Science or one subject relevant to the course OR an overall grade of at least 2.8 and above in their latest Polytechnic results. 3) Kuok Foundation Awards are for needy students only. 4) Applicants must not be in  receipt  of any scholarship such as JPA scholarship,  etc. at the time of application. The successful applicant will develop a molecular identification key for the freshwater mussels of Peninsular Malaysia, a severely endangered group of molluscs. The student will be co-supervised by Dr. Alexandra Zieritz and Ass. Prof. Christina Vimala Supramaniam, and receive training in aquatic fieldwork and molecular laboratory techniques.
