Criteria

  • Malaysian citizens. 
  • Possess good results in SPM/ STPM/ A-Level/ UEC or other equivalent qualifications. 
  • Active in extra curricular activities. 
  • Must not be bonded to or in receipt of any financial aid or rewards from other educational institutions or organizations. 
  • Shortlisted applicants will be interviewed by members of the SEGi Scholarship Board, including the Head of the relevant Faculty/School, as well as 8TV. 
  • Existing Malaysian students who achieve the required CGPA will also be eligible to apply for the scholarship. 
  • Scholarships offered cover tuition fees and internal examination fees only, they do not cover other compulsory fees and fees payable to partner universities. 
  • Scholarships offered are for SEGi University College homegrown Undergraduate degree, Diploma and Foundation programmes only. 
  • Not applicable for SEGi University College homegrown Allied Health Science and/or Health Science programmes. 
  • Total scholarship awards offered is 8.

Terms and Condition

  • To be entitled to continue receiving the scholarship each semester, scholarship recipients shall maintain high academic results of CGPA 3.0. Scholarship recipients shall contribute to SEGi University College’s activities, including participation in promotional activities, for up to 5 hours per week during their period of study. 
  • All Scholarships are not awarded automatically based on academic achievement(s) and are subject to interview and approval from the Scholarship Board and 8TV.

Application Procedures

  • Validity period for application: 11th June 2012 – 10th August 2012. 
  • Obtain the 8TV Scholarship Fund Application Form from SEGi University College or download the scholarship application form from the SEGi website at www.segi.edu.my. 
  • Scholarship application forms must be completed and sent along with certified true copy of actual and forecast result slips and all other supporting documents to:

  • Short listed candidates will then be interviewed by members of SEGi Scholarship Board, including the Head of the relevant faculty/school, as well as 8TV. 
  • All decisions made by the SEGi Scholarship Board are final and appeals will not be entertained. 
  • Only successful applicants will be notified.

Policies

  • Scholarships offered are for SEGi University College homegrown Undergraduate degree, Diploma and Foundation programmes only. 
  • Not applicable for SEGi University College homegrown Allied Health Science and/or Health Science programmes. 
  • If the scholarship recipient does not meet the minimum academic requirement for any portion or the programme or any modules, he/she will undertake to pay the re-sit/re-take fees as deemed necessary by the respective faculty. 
  • If and when forecast results are used in an application, SEGi University College reserves the right to revise the offer should the actual result falls below the forecast submitted. 
  • Scholarship offered are not exchangeable, nor is any unutilized portion of the scholarship refundable in cash terms. 
  • SEGi University College reserves the right to revoke the said scholarship if the recipient does not maintain the required CGPA, discipline, attendance and/or good behaviour as set out in the SEGi Student Handbook. 
  • SEGi University College reserves the right to amend the policies and terms of the scholarship without notice. 
  • All information furnished by the scholarship recipient must be true and correct in all respects. In the event of any inaccurate or incorrect information furnished, the scholarship is liable to be withdrawn without notice and in such event the scholarship recipient shall be required to pay SEGi University College the amount of tuition fee waived, to date. 
  • The scholarship recipient must accept the offer of SEGi University College and pay the relevant application fee before commencement of the programme, failing which the scholarship offered will automatically lapse. 
  • Decisions made by SEGi University College on all matters relating to scholarships are final. 
  • Unless otherwise approved, each student is only entitled to one (1) scholarship/ bursary/ financial assistance scheme/promotional benefits offered by SEGi University College and its group at any one time. In the event that the student qualifies for more than one (1) award, he/she must choose which one he/she wishes to apply and accept. 
  • All scholarship recipients must abide by the Rules and Regulations of SEGi University College as set out in the SEGi Student Handbook.
