The Indian Scholarship & Trust Fund (ISTF) has been providing financial assistance to Malaysian students of Indian origin studying at Universities, Colleges, Polytechnics and some selected institutions in Malaysia. The ISTF is now open for receiving applications for the academic year 2012-13. Please note that the financial assistance provided is only supplementary in nature and would NOT cover the full cost of studies.
The application form can be downloaded from the following webpage of this Mission’s website. Alternatively the ISTF application form can be obtained from the High Commission of India (Education Section), Level 28, Menara 1 Mon’t Kiara, No. 1, Jalan Kiara, Mon’t Kiara, 50480 Kuala Lumpur, (Tel: 03 6205 2350 ext 203).
The last date for submission of the duly filled-in application forms by hand or by post is 03 September 2012. Among the first time ISTF applicants, only the shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview, and only those candidates selected in the interview process would be awarded the financial assistance from the ISTF.
Previous recipients of the ISTF's financial assistance, who are still pursuing the same course of study, are eligible to reapply for the ISTF's financial assistance for another one time, by submitting the ISTF application form along with their latest mark-sheets and proof of study. The renewal students will not be called for the interview.
