Program Penajaan Pendidikan PETRONAS 2016 Untuk Lepasan SPM
Every year, PETRONAS offers academic sponsorships to deserving students for studies in secondary schools and institutions of higher learning.
More than 19,000 students have benefited from PETRONAS' tertiary education sponsorship programmes at the Foundation, Undergraduate and Postgraduate levels, while more than 11,000 secondary school students have received sponsorships.
Sponsorships are awarded to students who have obtained excellent results in the Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) examinations for undergraduate studies at established universities, both in Malaysia and overseas. Students can choose to pursue technical and non-technical courses that are relevant to the industry.
Scholarships are also offered to Malaysian secondary school students. Find out more about the sponsorship programmes currently being offered by PETRONAS:
PETRONAS Foreign University Sponsorship (Including Branch Campuses in Malaysia)
Sponsorships are available for Malaysian students to pursue degree courses in engineering and Information Technology at Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS (UTP). Sponsorship will be granted based on merit that includes excellent SPM results.
Students are required to complete up to 24 months of Pre-University Programme prior to pursuing the Bachelor’s Degree Programme.
Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS Sponsorship
Sponsorships are available for Malaysian students to pursue degree courses in engineering and Information Technology at Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS (UTP). Sponsorship will be granted based on merit that includes excellent SPM results.
Students are required to complete a 12-month Foundation Programme at UTP before advancing to undergraduate studies.
Who is eligible to apply PETRONAS Education Sponsorship Programme?
- Malaysian citizens aged between 17 – 19 years in 2016
- Possess strong leadership skills and active participation in extra-curricular activities.

- Actuarial Science
- Chemical Engineering
- Civil Engineering

- Electrical & Electronic Engineering
- Geophysics/ Geology

- Application for PETRONAS Education Sponsorship Programme 2016 must be made online at https://educationsponsorship.petronas.com.my
- For UTP scholarship, it is compulsory to submit related UTP admission application at www.utp.edu.my
